BOOKINGS The
best method for booking accommodation at a reasonable price for the meeting is
to go the following web site: On
the main menu, select “Melbourne” from the choices, then “Go”:
this will take you to the “Choose accommodation” area. In
the “Advanced search” box, search for “Parkville” or “Carlton” OR
click onto the drop-down box defaulted to “All destinations” and select
these suburbs. Make
sure you select a date that includes the Symposium (July 1-3, 2010) Press
“Go” to display the selection. This
will then display the current selection of hotels and type of accommodation
available during the week of the Symposium. You
can then select appropriate accommodation at the right price for your needs. The
Symposium is being held at the Bio21 Institute located at 30 Flemington Rd,
Parkville, in the vicinity of The University of Melbourne (corner of Grattan
St/Royal Pde). You will be able to
identify the location of hotels in relationship to these locations and determine
the most convenient – for walking or taking a tram. Melbourne
has a good and frequent tram service that runs from the central city to
Flemington Rd and Royal Pde (along Elizabeth St).
